Five Elements Acupressure is an ancient form of holistic healing that connects how the body reacts to the environment based on each individual’s Causative Factor. It consists of classical Chinese acu-theory, Five Elements theory and is non-invasive. Acu-points are held in different locations on the body at the same to relieve tension not only at the site of the point, but throughout the entire body. This method of healing is about bringing balance back into your body and your life. The CHI or life energy can become imbalanced along the meridians as a result of trauma. Meridians are the energy pathways through the body and have been mapped out by western scientists by using sensitive electrical devices. Imbalances can be found in the body, mind or spirit. By holding the acu-points, signals are sent to the brain that influence the flow of energy and helps to correct imbalance which releases tension, pain, and stuck emotions. Acupressure enables the body to adapt to environmental changes and resist illness.

You’re in good hands with Emmanuelle as your Registered Massage Therapist. In BC, RMTs are health professionals regulated by the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia. Emmanuelle has undergone rigorous formal training in order to provide you with effective treatment. This training includes post-secondary education in health sciences and in clinical applications of massage therapy, as well as successful completion of a multi-component registration exam administered by CMTBC.
Massage Therapy can help improve many dysfunctions, from acute injury rehabilitation to prevention and maintenance of general overall health. While individual programs can vary, a program may include specialized hydrotherapy, core stabilization, and strengthening exercises. These programs are often progressive in nature, initially addressing the pain, discomfort, and inflammation associated with injuries. As treatment progresses, Emmanuelle will address the underlying cause and work to rehabilitate the patient.
Research shows that massage therapy is effective in reducing fibrosis and contracture, improving circulation, reducing muscular spasm, controlling pain, improving respiratory function and affecting the emotions stored in the body.

Emmanuelle grew up in the Nicola Valley and is very well versed in the world of holistic health. Emmanuelle decided that she would pursue a career in holistic health to help bring others the relief she found through a diverse approach to health.

She began by taking her Soul Change 200hr yoga teacher training and continued the journey from there with receiving her Reiki Training. Wanting to explore holistic health further Emmanuelle received her Certification in 5 Element Acupressure through the Canadian Acupressure College and graduated in 2019.

Emmanuelle completed the Registered Massage Therapy Program in the summer of 2022 and is a British Columbia Board Registered Massage Therapist. Emmanuelle is a people person at heart and really enjoys the ever-changing needs of her profession. She uses a combination of techniques including relaxation, fascial, swedish massage and acupressure when treating clients. She is also able to incorporate her yoga training into her homecare regime to personalize each treatment to the client and what they need the day of their appointment.

Outside of work, Emmanuelle is the owner of a very adventurous miniature Australian Shepherd named Sage who will occasionally be seen smiling through the clinic’s front window. You can find both Emmanuelle and Sage on the local hiking and ski trails or out for a paddle on the lake.
